How to stop / deactivate G-Live from sending you messages

After experiencing Globe's dysfunctional services namely, Globe Tattoo, Globe Visibility and Globe Broadband, Globe is now annoying users by spamming their mobile phones with unwanted messages!

It's very easy to deactive G-live messages from appearing. Here are the steps:
1. Go to Globe svcs+ menu
2. Select G-live
3. Select Activation
4. Select Deactivate

Voila! No more spam messages from Globe! I started receiving these messages when my sim magically became unusable. I havent done anything to it. The signal from my Globe sim just went out..and it never came back.

I am a prepaid user now and have a special number + an autoload retailer menu, they changed my sim for 50 bucks and told me that they cannot return the autoload retailer menu. Without hesitation, I immediately said, "great!"

Why would I want to help them sell load when firstly, they offer bad services and secondly, they do not know how to deal with customers. I've been complaining for years now and I did not receive a single resolution for my problems.

The only resolution was, to have my line cut and stay away from them (Globe).

So, there. Bye-bye G-live spam and Globe spam messages

Register an account in iTunes with a "none" as an option in the credit card field

As we all know, we must activate our Apple gadgets using iTunes before being able to use it fully. Although a bit hassle, this is how apple wants us to do it. *no choice*

So, after getting your gadget, open your iTunes program. (If you don't have it, you can download it here for free - Apple iTunes )

http://images.cheftonio1.multiply.com/image/2/photos/13/400x400/3/itunes9-003.jpg?et=aa2kHvnFVf4DTfKWoVrdhw&nmid=285445095

First and foremost, using your computer where the iTunes program is installed, plug your newly acquired Apple gadget via the USB port. Let the iTunes do the work. Input some information and voila! Your Apple gadget is now activated.

Now, the next part after getting the "Your iPod/iPhone is now activated" message - you will go on and register to iTunes. If you do not like to get an iTunes account, just navigate away from the page. You actually can use your gadget without having an iTunes account. But for some gadget like the iPod Touch or the iPhone, you would miss tons of free applications available for download.

The problem I encountered is, the credit card part. I don't want to register my credit card and leave my details there (although I think it is safe enough) because I am only using the iTunes to leech and download the free applications available.

So, how do you register and get an iTunes account without using a credit card and, how to let the "None" appear as the payment option when registering a new account?

Here are the steps to follow. It wouldn't take you 5 minutes. I did it in 3 minutes.

Step 1 - Open you iTunes

Step 2 - Find the "Free Apps" on the right hand side corner. If you can't find it, find any Free application available for download.

http://images.cheftonio1.multiply.com/image/2/photos/13/400x400/7/itunes9-007.jpg?et=s1WQLrex4yk1EW5iLrXytw&nmid=285445095

Step 3 - Download the said free application. After clicking it, it will prompt you to enter your username and password for your iTunes account. Click the "Create New Account" button.

Step 4 - You will be welcomed and see the screen similar to the screenshot I have below. Just click "Continue"

http://images.cheftonio1.multiply.com/image/2/photos/13/400x400/9/itunes9-009.jpg?et=PLA432etOI6Un30DZU6Mww&nmid=285445095

Step 5 - Read the terms and conditions and if you agree, check the checkbox and click "Continue" (I just checked it without reading :) )

Step 6 - Enter your information (It's up to you if you would like to input real and authentic data)

http://images.cheftonio1.multiply.com/image/2/photos/13/400x400/11/itunes9-011.jpg?et=w4Blmc83Yh%2BDesyzht71dQ&nmid=285445095

Step 7 - Voila! The "None" option as the payment method is now there! Continue entering several more information and click "Continue" after.

Step 8 - Check your e-mail for the confirmation letter. It will be something like the screenshot I have below... Click the link to confirm.

http://images.cheftonio1.multiply.com/image/2/photos/13/400x400/14/itunes9-014.jpg?et=Fm4ef5PPSBltNDvrtG7RBg&nmid=285445095

Step 9 - It will prompt you to launch your iTunes. Just authorize it.

http://images.cheftonio1.multiply.com/image/2/photos/13/400x400/4/itunes9-004.jpg?et=di9oJDTTvLDx5qQIbu8q2w&nmid=285445095

Step 10 - iTunes will now then ask for your username and password to complete your account creation.

http://images.cheftonio1.multiply.com/image/2/photos/13/400x400/5/itunes9-005.jpg?et=Dv%2BNqXvgppN9vL%2CJyfmIxg&nmid=285445095

Step 11 - Congratulations! Done!

http://images.cheftonio1.multiply.com/image/2/photos/13/400x400/6/itunes9-006.jpg?et=R%2CekM9Zjc3utajw3flb%2Cgg&nmid=285445095

You now have your FREE iTunes account without giving away your credit card information! :)

Hope this would help you guys!

My First iPhone - bow!

This blog will now focus on 2 things. Just 2.

Technology in general and iPhone.

Yes, I finally got my first ever Apple product (brand new). Ever since the Apple hype started, I only bought 2 products from them. Both pre-loved (pre-owned).

An iPod Mini 1st gen color silver which I bought for around 4,000 pesos (I think it was sometime in 2005) and another iPod, A nano 1st gen, just 2nd quarter this year, 2009.

I was so impressed with the iPod Nano I bought because despite of being used for several years, the original sticker protector of it when you first buy the unit is still intact. Meaning, it was never removed. Meaning, there is absolutely zero scratches and can easily pass as a brand new unit if just the plastic is still very clear. It's semi-blurry (25%).

Yesterday, I picked up my very first iPhone 3g 8gb (Not the 3gs).

Well, I know this 1 contest where you could win 50 iPhones. The first draw was held last August and there are 2 more upcoming draws. 1 is on October and the other is on November.

So... there are 40 more iPhones are to be given away.

Soon, i'll post my unboxing video here. and later on, post all the tricks and tips I would discover on my iPhone 3g.

To check out the said promo mentioned above, please visit this - AxeOnPhone or call 0908-8933333

Lesson Learned: Just Reserve!

sienna miller baroness gi joe wallpaper

While I wasn't that excited to watch G.I. Joe, I cannot expect the others to feel the same way I do. This is what I learned that night when I was so frustrated, I just bought something quickly (closing time 10pm already) in the department store just so I would not waste my time going to Trinoma doing nothing.
http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/1949/sureseats.jpg
Checking out sureseats.com, I found out that the 9pm was already full. Naturally, I'd check the next available time and it was the 10pm one. It was just 30% filled and for this reason, I opted not to reserve my seats via sureseats.

We arrived around 9pm so that we would have enough time to line-up to buy tickets, stroll around the area then buy snacks before entering the cinema.

Alas! The line was so long you would think that it was the first showing day. Although A-Card holders have a priority line when purchasing tickets, it didn't help even a bit! It was already full!! The frustration struck us both and I regretted not reserving the seats because I wanted to save the 20 pesos reservation fee!!

A week after, we watched UP. I logged-in around 11am and reserved 2 seats for the 8pm show. 20 bucks each is nothing compared to the frustration and regret you would feel.

Just reserve! Kuripot kasi!
