As we all know, we must activate our Apple gadgets using iTunes before being able to use it fully. Although a bit hassle, this is how apple wants us to do it. *no choice*
So, after getting your gadget, open your iTunes program. (If you don't have it, you can download it here for free - Apple iTunes )
First and foremost, using your computer where the iTunes program is installed, plug your newly acquired Apple gadget via the USB port. Let the iTunes do the work. Input some information and voila! Your Apple gadget is now activated.
Now, the next part after getting the "Your iPod/iPhone is now activated" message - you will go on and register to iTunes. If you do not like to get an iTunes account, just navigate away from the page. You actually can use your gadget without having an iTunes account. But for some gadget like the iPod Touch or the iPhone, you would miss tons of free applications available for download.
The problem I encountered is, the credit card part. I don't want to register my credit card and leave my details there (although I think it is safe enough) because I am only using the iTunes to leech and download the free applications available.
So, how do you register and get an iTunes account without using a credit card and, how to let the "None" appear as the payment option when registering a new account?
Here are the steps to follow. It wouldn't take you 5 minutes. I did it in 3 minutes.
Step 1 - Open you iTunes
Step 2 - Find the "Free Apps" on the right hand side corner. If you can't find it, find any Free application available for download.
Step 3 - Download the said free application. After clicking it, it will prompt you to enter your username and password for your iTunes account. Click the "Create New Account" button.
Step 4 - You will be welcomed and see the screen similar to the screenshot I have below. Just click "Continue"
Step 5 - Read the terms and conditions and if you agree, check the checkbox and click "Continue" (I just checked it without reading :) )
Step 6 - Enter your information (It's up to you if you would like to input real and authentic data)
Step 7 - Voila! The "None" option as the payment method is now there! Continue entering several more information and click "Continue" after.
Step 8 - Check your e-mail for the confirmation letter. It will be something like the screenshot I have below... Click the link to confirm.
Step 9 - It will prompt you to launch your iTunes. Just authorize it.
Step 10 - iTunes will now then ask for your username and password to complete your account creation.
Step 11 - Congratulations! Done!
You now have your FREE iTunes account without giving away your credit card information! :)
Hope this would help you guys!

My First iPhone - bow!
This blog will now focus on 2 things. Just 2.
Technology in general and iPhone.
Yes, I finally got my first ever Apple product (brand new). Ever since the Apple hype started, I only bought 2 products from them. Both pre-loved (pre-owned).
An iPod Mini 1st gen color silver which I bought for around 4,000 pesos (I think it was sometime in 2005) and another iPod, A nano 1st gen, just 2nd quarter this year, 2009.
I was so impressed with the iPod Nano I bought because despite of being used for several years, the original sticker protector of it when you first buy the unit is still intact. Meaning, it was never removed. Meaning, there is absolutely zero scratches and can easily pass as a brand new unit if just the plastic is still very clear. It's semi-blurry (25%).
Yesterday, I picked up my very first iPhone 3g 8gb (Not the 3gs).
Well, I know this 1 contest where you could win 50 iPhones. The first draw was held last August and there are 2 more upcoming draws. 1 is on October and the other is on November.
So... there are 40 more iPhones are to be given away.
Soon, i'll post my unboxing video here. and later on, post all the tricks and tips I would discover on my iPhone 3g.

Apple Premieres iTunes 9
Featuring Home Sharing, Genius Mixes & Improved Syncing
SAN FRANCISCO—September 9, 2009—Apple® today introduced iTunes® 9, the latest version of the world’s most popular software application to purchase, manage and play media, packed with innovative features such as, Home Sharing and Genius Mixes, as well as a redesigned store and improved syncing. iTunes 9 makes it easier than ever to discover, preview and enjoy your music, movies, TV shows, and apps for iPhone™ and iPod touch® from Apple’s revolutionary App Store. Plus, Home Sharing now lets you easily transfer songs, movies and TV shows to other computers in your home.
“iTunes 9 is a great iTunes release, with innovative features that make using iTunes better than ever and iTunes content richer than ever,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO.
iTunes 9 also introduces Home Sharing, which lets you easily transfer music among up to five authorized computers in your home. Family members can now view up to five iTunes libraries on their home network, see only the portion of these libraries they don’t already have, import their favorite content directly to their own libraries, and automatically add new purchases from other computers into their library.
The incredibly popular Genius feature gets even better with Genius Mixes which are created using the results of over 27 million music libraries with over 54 billion songs that have been submitted and analyzed by Genius. The new Genius Mixes feature is like having a “Genius” DJ that automatically generates up to 12 endless mixes of songs from your iTunes library that go great together.
With improved syncing in iTunes 9 and iPhone OS 3.1, you can now organize your iPhone apps right in iTunes and they will automatically appear on your iPhone with the same layout. Plus, syncing music, photos, movies and TV shows is easier than ever with the added ability to sync music by artist and genre and sync photos by Events and Faces.
iTunes 9 is available immediately as a free download at www.itunes.com.
